"I have worked with numerous photographers from all over New England, and Zero is by FAR the best, his work is so amazing because he has a way of bringing out each persons individual personality in their photographs.
Before working with Zero a lot of my pictures I noticed seemed so blah, and not really me, but after looking over Zero's photos, I can see a lot of my fun loving attitude shining through.
He has a great way of making you feel comfortable right off the bat, I didn't even get time to be shy, he immediately made me laugh. One thing I really enjoyed was that he was open to anything, he even told me I could bring my boyfriend...and then when that didn't work and my boyfriend turned into a real grump and left Zero gave me some great advice... "They say, never bring your boyfriend to a photoshoot..." He was so right!
I loved how Zero not only thought about himself, but what I wanted and what I thought would look good; not many photographers take the models point of view into their work. He has a way of making you look and feel beautiful throughout the shoot, and is very professional.
All and all Zero is a great guy with a knack for taking gorgeous photos, and capturing a life within each picture that I never knew was possible, I really hope I get the chance to work with him again, and I give my recommendation to any model that really wants to stand out. "When working with a photographer, you must relax. It is the #1 rule if it is going to be a good shoot or not. Zero allows you to do just that. He just pulls the best out of you. If you are ever in doubt about being picture friendly, Zero will fix that thought in one session. His pictures speak for themselves. Zero has the eye for detail. That is what caught my eye of his work. Photography at its best. He made the shoot very professional and fun, which is important in a photo shoot.
I walked away from one of his photo shoots feeling more confident about myself than before I went to him. It is very exciting to have a feeling like that before even seeing the results.
Zero will not shoot anything that you are not comfortable in doing. And he will not put you in any danger or possible injury at any means at any shoot. The risk is not worth a picture you may not see... He is there for you!!!! He is there to catch a part of you that no one else can. That's what part of being a good photographer is. He's excellent.
If you made it this far to find Zero Dean. You are lucky, like I was, because their are few very good photographers out there, like a needle in a hay stack. You happen to fall upon one of that few.
Zero is always open to new ideas (yours) before the shoot takes place. He taught us to carry a favorite magazine of poses that you may want to use. Not many photographers do that. He carries one with him for you if you need it. ( GREAT IDEA ZERO ). He is a teacher and mentor if you need one or are still learning like I am always doing.
