Why I'm So Motivated To Impress You It wasn't long ago, the summer of 2006, in fact, that I began working in southern California. First in the ultra competitive Los Angeles market, and then in the beautiful San Diego area starting in the fall of 2007. As such, I'm very eager to make a name for myself here and ultimately establish myself as one of southern California's top photographers. To do that, I am 100% committed to meeting and satisfying my client's needs. If you choose to work with me, I will leverage every professional and artistic advantage I can to capture what will quite possibly be the best photos you've ever had taken of yourself. And I am pretty confident that no one will strive harder than I will to exceed your expectations.

Specializing (for now) In Natural Light Photography

I love working outside and the challenge that shooting on location in natural light provides. And when all the elements are controlled properly, natural light results in very eye-catching & distinctive photographs that have a look which is exceptionally difficult to attain in a studio.

However, the primary reason I started specializing in natural light photography is that real estate and rental rates in southern California are, *coff* *coff*, outrageous. I can get exactly half the amount of studio space I had on the east coast for roughly three times the price. And while business is good, it's not so good that I want to spend $3,000 a month for studio space that I rarely actually need. So, for now, and despite my studio lighting abilities and an abundance of studio equipment, I am happily keeping my rates low by specializing in natural light photography.

However, I do have fully portable studio equipment, so if you wish to shoot in the comfort of your own home (or some other interior location), or have access to (or wish to rent) a studio, or if you're a corporate client, then I'd be happy to discuss this option with you.

Having formerly provided photography full-time 7 days a week for a number of years, I am now scaling back and diversifying my career interests. Due to project and new career commitments, I am now mainly available to provide photography services during holidays and weekends only.

I accept invitations to shoot throughout the USA and other countries.

If you're not local, but would like to work together, send a general query or fill out a photo shoot request form.

PAYMENT DETAILS:

To schedule an appointment, all shoots require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of scheduling.

I accept cash, *personal checks, money-orders, **credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), Google Checkout, and in some very rare cases I may barter for goods or services. Cash is the preferred method.

* Personal checks must clear at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled shoot - so please plan accordingly.
** Credit Cards (includes "Google Checkout"): If you pay for 100% of your shoot at the time of scheduling, there is no fee. Otherwise, there is a 5% service charge added to credit card payments which simply compensates for the fee I have to pay the banks for the "privilege" to accept your card.

PAYMENT PLANS:

Yes, I accept payment plans. As long as you pay the initial 50% deposit to schedule your shoot, you can arrange a payment plan by check or credit card for the remaining portion of your balance. I charge a $20 fee for each month that you make payments. If you decide to pay your balance off by check, then I require a credit card to keep on file (which will not be billed unless you stop making payments, as agreed).

SCHEDULING POLICY:

Deposit: All appointments require a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the photo shoot package.

Rescheduling: Rescheduling can be done without penalty up to 7 days before your photo shoot is scheduled. If you give me at least 48 hours notice, I charge a small fee of $25 to reschedule. If you provide me with less than 48 hours notice, you will be charged a $75 rescheduling fee.

Advanced Cancellations: Cancellations prior to the day of your shoot will result in the loss of your deposit.

Same-day Cancellations & No shows: Cancelling on the same day of your appointment or failing to show up will result in a charge for the remaining balance for you scheduled photo shoot.
